We discussed this in the second episode of the podcast “AkTYwnie o Starachowicach | Podcast Conversations About the City,” featuring Piotr Górka, an urban development expert from the Association of Polish Cities. The conversation focused on the role of cooperation among local governments, the exchange of experiences between cities, and the importance of comprehensive development projects for the future of medium-sized urban centers.
During the podcast, we addressed, among other things, issues related to:
- the role of the Association of Polish Cities in supporting the development of local governments,
the greatest challenges facing medium-sized cities,
the place of the project “AkTYwne Miasto. Together for the Development of Starachowice” in the broader context of initiatives implemented in Poland,
cooperation between local governments and domestic and international partners,
the impact of development projects on residents’ quality of life and efforts to counter depopulation.
This podcast is a continuation of a series of discussions dedicated to the implementation of the “AkTYwne Miasto. Together for the Development of Starachowice” project. In the first episode, the guest was Marek Materek, Mayor of Starachowice; this time, the conversation provided a perspective on the project from an expert specializing in urban development and cooperation among local governments.
