Modern STEM labs will be built in schools in Starachowice - invitation to participate in the bidding process

The Municipality of Starachowice has announced a public procurement procedure titled “Modernization and Design of STEM Labs in Four Schools (SP1, SP9, SP10, SP13),” carried out as part of the project “AkTYwne Miasto. Together for the Development of Starachowice.”

The project will cover four elementary schools in the city and will create modern educational spaces that support the development of future-oriented skills among students.

Education that addresses the challenges of the modern world

STEM labs will be spaces for modern learning based on hands-on practice, experimentation, and the development of skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Their creation is part of the project’s efforts to improve the quality of education and prepare young residents for the challenges of a rapidly changing job market.

The new educational spaces will be designed to facilitate interdisciplinary classes that foster creativity, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and digital competencies.

- We want Starachowice’s schools to offer students a 21st-century learning environment. The STEM labs will be a place where young people can develop their interests, acquire practical skills, and learn about modern technologies. This is an investment not only in infrastructure but, above all, in the future of our children and youth - emphasizes Marek Materek, Mayor of Starachowice.

Modern facilities and functional spaces

The scope of the planned work includes the modernization and redesign of classrooms at:

  • Szkole Podstawowej nr 1 im. Jana Kochanowskiego,
  • Szkole Podstawowej nr 9 im. Partyzantów Ziemi Kieleckiej,
  • Szkole Podstawowej nr 10 z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi im. Szarych Szeregów,
  • Szkole Podstawowej nr 13 im. Kornela Makuszyńskiego.

The resulting classrooms will be adapted to accommodate lessons that utilize modern technologies, educational tools, and innovative teaching methods. As a result, students will be able to acquire knowledge in a more engaging and practical way that meets contemporary educational standards.

Investing in the Skills of the Future

Modern STEM labs are designed to support the development of skills that are already essential in today’s job market and everyday life. These include creativity, logical thinking, teamwork, communication, and the ability to use new technologies.

- The “AkTYwne Miasto” project aims to create conditions for developing the skills of the future starting from a very young age. Thanks to the STEM labs, students will be able to learn through experience, experimentation, and teamwork. It is precisely skills such as creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving that will determine young people’s success in the future,” adds Marcin Gołębiowski, Deputy Mayor of Starachowice for Social Affairs.

The creation of modern STEM labs is one of the educational initiatives carried out as part of the “AkTYwne Miasto. Together for the Development of Starachowice” project. This investment will contribute to the creation of a modern learning environment that will foster the discovery of talents, the development of interests, and the preparation of the younger generation to thrive in a world of new technologies and innovation.

The deadline for submitting bids is June 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Details of the proceedings are available on the platform eZamówienia.
