The goal of the competition was to recognize organizations working on behalf of residents in the areas of community engagement, sports, and support for seniors. The gala also served as a forum for sharing experiences, finding inspiration, and promoting best practices implemented by Starachowice-based nongovernmental organizations.

- I am immensely grateful to all the non-governmental organizations, their leaders, volunteers, and members for their daily work on behalf of the residents of Starachowice. They often work behind the scenes, dedicating their time, energy, and hearts to helping others, bringing the local community together, and carrying out valuable initiatives.” The AkTYwator 2026 Gala is an expression of our appreciation for these efforts and an opportunity to thank you for everything you do for our city - emphasized Marek Materek, Mayor of Starachowice.

The event’s program also included presentations on the functioning of modern nongovernmental organizations. Participants had the opportunity to listen to inspiring talks by representatives of Step to Europe and Sensibus, who shared their experiences and best practices in the field of social activism.
